If this writer could magically wake up tomorrow as an HBO-quality actor, there’s really only one currently (or soon to be) in production show she’d want a role in. The Last Of Usseason two and It prequel Welcome To Derry are both filled with way too much visual nightmare fuel for any sort of comfort, and those EuphoriaThe White Lotus, which is set to start filming its third season in Thailand early next year. (Let’s throw in a time machine to continue this fantasy, because who wouldn’t want to hang out with Jennifer Coolidge as dear, departed Tanya McQuoid in all of her Peppa Pig glory?)

Now that the strike is over, that dream will come true for over a dozen actual actors in the coming months. According to Deadline, Mike White’s tense, satirical travel series is currently casting for thirteen roles, nine of whom will appear as series regulars. Among those slots are “a patriarch, a corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, a misfit and a yogi,” per the trade. Like past seasons, the cast will be multi-generational and wide-ranging; the team is currently auditioning actors ages 18-80.
The only cast member that’s currently confirmed is returning season one star Natasha Rothwell, but that hasn’t stopped fans from speculating and dreaming up their own perfect roster for the upcoming season. Our staff brought up actors like Dev Patel and Nicole Scherzinger (for the yogi specifically), while names like Dianna Agron, Tatiana Maslany, Keke Palmer, Greta Lee, about a dozen different Survivor players, and many more have been floating around the internet since the casting call was announced.
Whoever ends up filling out the cast in the end, this season is sure to reach a new height for the already-impressive show. “It’s going to be a supersized White Lotus,” said White in a recent interview. “It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier... I’m super excited about the content of the season.”
