Oscars 2024: The complete list of winners

Despite two historic strikes, shifting release schedules, and the ongoing risk of coronavirus, Hollywood has a lot to celebrate at tonight’s 96th Academy Awards. If there’s a message to take away from this year’s awards season, it’s that 2023 was a very good year for movies. We may look back on it as the year of Barbenheimer, but we also got a lot of joy out of indie and art house films like Past Lives, The Holdovers, and Poor Things. American Fiction turned comedy, social commentary, family drama, and a fantastic cast into a recipe for success. Anatomy Of A Fall and The Zone Of Interest added some international flavor to the Best Picture race. And Martin Scorsese proved he’s still got it at 81 years old with his late-career triumph Killers Of The Flower Moon. There isn’t a dud in the bunch, but they can’t all be winners. So we’ll be rooting for our favorites, and graciously clapping along like we mean it if they should lose.
